White Wednesday

Today I am following White Wednesday at Faded Charm for the first time. Even though I am addicted to riotous colours of all sorts, I love the simplicity of white. It has an elegance and serenity about it that is very calming.

So last evening I set out on a treasure hunt to find things that are white, but specifically I was looking for items that evoke feelings of peacefulness and tranquility. The fact that it was a beautiful sunny evening with a soft summer breeze helped put me in the right frame of mind. And then suddenly, all around me, I began to spot things that are white ...

  4. I think there's something so refreshingly simple about a soft, clean white. My favorite thing in the world is the contrast of a crisp white building against a bright blue sky - every color pops against white!

  10. Thanks for stopping by my blog! :) I love your pics of all things white. I was reading your 'about me' section and I thought, "Hmmm, you must be my twin!" I've never met anyone who admitted they were a terrible housekeeper! I say it a lot. In fact, I used to have a sign that said "If you came to see me, come on in. If you came to see my house, make an appointment!" My husband made me take it down! HA! Anyway, love your blog and all your animals!

  12. Hi Ro! We both did daisies today for WW. What fun!
Now. about those hungry chipmunks -- keep feeding them peanuts and maybe they will leave your veggies alone. I think I'm going to try that here, in a desperate attempt to save our tomatoes.
    Have a lovely week!

  13. PS -- Love your profile, too . Instead of admitting to being a terrible housekeeper, I just claim that the dust in my house is a protective coating on my antiques.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

  16. Lovely pictures. You reminded me that sometimes people plant moon gardens...all white plants that reflect the light of the moon at night.
